About us - statement
Rethink Art is an independently owned creative gallery working to raise awareness and support for mental health through art, notably in partnership with key influencers and celebrities.
The idea is to show how it's important with mental health, like it is with art, to see the whole picture from different perspectives. Our aim is to encourage people to more openly share their thoughts and feelings about mental health and promote an alternative to silence, discrimination and stigma.
Celebrity Klecksography and Rethink Mental Illness
In 2017 Rethink Art began to create a collection of Celebrity Klecksography, or inkblots. Read briefly about Klecksography here. We asked a number of celebrities to help create each art work, make it their own and adding their signature. These art works are an iconic example of how we all see art and people differently. By looking at klecksographs, and people's mental health from different perspectives, we are encouraged to look at new possibilities and potentials, seeing the whole picture of the art and the individual.
Rethink Mental Illness
Rethink Mental Illness is a mental health charity in the UK that we have exclusively chosen to support by donating original klecksographs, to raise awareness and funds for the vital work they do. Please visit their website at rethink.org
Johnny Depp and Ed Sheeran
We have been honoured to have Johnny Depp and Ed Sheeran as contributors.
In addition to their original art, to be sold at a later date, both very kindly gave their permission for Rethink Art to release a series of fine art giclee prints. A very few of these artist prints are still available on request. Please email us
Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Martin, Jason Momoa and now Liam Gallagher!
